Next Club Meeting - Jan. 7th


 Happy New Year, HOV BeeKeepers! Our first meeting of the Year will be this coming Tuesday, January 7th at 7 pm at the Prince Edward County Extension Office near Lowe's in Farmville.   Retired Longwood chemistry professor Pat Barber will speak on "Keeping Honeybees in Southside Virginia-- Practical lessons learned from fifty years of experimenting and tending bees in Charlotte County.”  Anyone still interested in signing up for the 2020 Bee School can do so at this meeting.

Mission Statement


The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers Club is dedicated to supporting local beekeepers and educating the public about the role honey bees play in the region. The club hosts monthly meetings, a mentor program, and a yearly new beekeepers class to provide support to beekeepers. Monthly meetings are open to honey beekeepers and enthusiast alike.
