Next Club Meeting - June 4th


The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers will meet Tuesday, June 4th at 7 pm at the Prince Edward County Extension Office across from Lowe's in Farmville.  Our speaker for the meeting will be commercial beekeeper Ben Clark.  Hope to see you there. 2019 Beehive Distribution Program


The 2019 Beehive Distribution Program will be accepting application STARTING July 1st. In 2018, within days, the beehive distribution program was maximized and all funds were appropriated to the overwhelming response by beekeepers. PUT THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR AND APPLY ASAP on July 1st. More information to follow or attend our next meeting in Farmville. (2018 Information: )

Mission Statement


The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers Club is dedicated to supporting local beekeepers and educating the public about the role honey bees play in the region. The club hosts monthly meetings, a mentor program, and a yearly new beekeepers class to provide support to beekeepers. Monthly meetings are open to honey beekeepers and enthusiast alike.
